SAP Basis System Administrator - Contract - Leeds
A SAP Basis System Administrator is required to join a large organisation in Leeds.
The experienced SAP Basis System Administrator will have:
- Experience of SAP Basis System Administration on ABAP and Java stacks forNetweaver7.0 and higher (ECC, PI, EP, Solman).
- Experience of administering SAP systems deployed on UNIX using Oracle databases. We use the Solaris operating system but experience in Linux should offer enough of a grounding to work with thisWorking knowledge of Basis activities such as; oSupport Pack deployments using the SUM tool, including Kernel upgrades for ABAP, Java and mixed stack systems,
- oSystem refreshes, homogeneous/heterogeneous system migrations, oClient copies, oSystem monitoring (OS, database and application).
- Knowledge of managing SAP users including authorisation, role and profile management.
- Experience of effectively co-ordinating your own work to respond effectively to changing priorities, assessing urgency and criticality of support requests, incidents and problems;
The following are also desirable but not essential:
- Knowledge of SAP modules, including HR, Purchasing, Sales; Finance, Logistics, ESS/MSS, Procurement, Plant Maintenance and Research.
- Experience of working with SAP PI, SAP Portal and workflow.
- Experience in ABAP programming.
- Conceptual knowledge and experience in HA and DR scenarios for SAP landscapes.
