Technical Author, 3 months initial contract, Solihull, ASAP
My reputable client is looking for Technical Author who will focus on creating user manuals and documentation for people in the business to use the technology.
Role purpose:
As a Technical Author within IT, the candidate will sit in the new Development team with additional work and projects across all other business areas.
Role Accountabilities:
As the Technical Content Author, you will articulate the technical and functional assets of the clients' cyber product competencies in a way that resonates with their target audience. The information provided by your work will play a critical role in supporting the clients' customers from a technical perspective.
In this role, you will champion the delivery of content in an innovative and immersive way that meets this objective.
Skills required:
* Technical background
* Be able to understand code/APIs
* Have the ability to translate the inner workings of complex systems into well-defined documentation
* Be able to work code examples though equally have a passion for turning the technical into creative and engaging content to exceed customer expectations.
* Knowledge of database programming including SQL and large RDBMS and the following; MadCap Flare and MadCap Central, AsciiDoc, Oxygen XML Editor, JIRA, Git, Adobe Creative Cloud, Atom Editor, Techsmith Camtasia, TeamCity, MS SharePoint and Confluence
