Description
Harvey Nash's public sector client is recruiting for a Senior Buyer on an initial 6 month contract. You will assume procurement responsibility in order to meet customer expectations focusing on quality and delivery on-time ensuring value for money. You will also process purchase orders and support the delivery of the organisation's revenue and margin target through delivering material requirements of the right quality, on-time, in-full and at a competitive cost
Essential skills:
* MCIPS, related degree level qualification or relevant experience required.
* Public sector procurement experience
* Strong supplier management and negotiation skills
* Be able to make decisions, meet targets and work under pressure
