My clients, a Central Gov organisation in Westminster require a new Back End Developer to join their team.
The website has passed the Government Digital Service's live assessment.
The publisher is written in Python, hosted by Heroku and uses the Flask framework. Node.js is used for Front End dependencies, with Gulp used for compiling Javascript and CSS.
The publisher builds the website as static files hosted by AWS, using Cloudfront in front of an S3 bucket.
The digital team is agile and works in sprint cycles, as outlined in the GOV.UK service manual.
Essential:
- Python
- Flask
- SQLAlchemy & PostgreSQL
- Heroku and Amazon Web Services
- Addressing issues highlighted from penetration testing
- Agile working practices and ceremonies
Nice to have:
- Understanding of presenting data and accessibility standards
- CSS, Javascript, Terraform, Selenium
- Knowledge of GOV.UK Design System
- Familiarity with the government Service Standard
