Description
Infrastructure Engineer with automation and Scripting experience. This individual will work with an existing team to automate environment provisioning and application deployment in Microsoft Azure using Ansible. The engineer will develop Ansible playbooks, troubleshoot issues post deployment following the defined best practices and standards
Responsibilities
The overall objectives of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Identify opportunities for automation using Ansible/Bash/PowerShell scripts within application and infrastructure deployment and configuration
- Implement secure, highly available and load balanced application installations based on detailed designs
- Use existing Ansible roles to develop ansible playbooks and roles
- Develop Bash or PowerShell scripts where ansible has a limitation
- Understand and remediate complex issues and topologies of complex applications
Skills
- Strong experience with Ansible
- Experience in PowerShell, and Bash
- Public Cloud experience (preferably Azure)
- Knowledge of Linux Servers, Windows Servers and Networking
- Experience in setting up Middleware's - WebLogic, JBoss, Tomcat, Apache and Nginx
- Ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve full application stack problems, end-to-end, including network connectivity, authentication, SSL and application debugging.
- Basic understanding of networking principles and protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, HTTP and SSL)
- Ability to adapt to a changing and dynamic environment
- Good troubleshooting skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work with a geographically dispersed team
