Description

World Leading Global Energy Trading Company has an exciting opportunity for a Python Developer/Engineer to join a Global Energy Company that delivers global analytics tools to LSC business users.

A Python Developer is required to investigate and deliver a number of analytics products, including a reusable framework. Python products will be deployed onto Azure and connect to SAP HANA.

Key activities & deliverables
- Learn about the technical environment; locations of Servers, etc.
- Design and implement a framework' which will encapsulate analytics modules (created by data scientists) and allow them to be executed as part of a three tier web application.
- Own the evolution of the framework and assist analytics module creators with coding & integration.
- Likely deliver one or more analytics modules.
- Coach data scientists & engineers on Python best practice.
- Assisting Business Analysts and Product Owner to refine Product Backlog Items for future sprints

Key knowledge areas:
- Python in a three tier web app
- Flask
- Internet network architecture (eg using Python for interacting with/through HTTPS, certificates, headers, Firewalls)
- Experience within a data science team in a numerical role is highly beneficial
- Knowledge of NumYy or SciPy would be highly beneficial
