World Leading Global Energy Trading Company has a vacancy for a Senior Cryogenic Marine Engineer within the Technology & Innovation department. The successful candidate will be providing Marine and Cryogenic Engineering support to a wide variety of Maritime projects across their business units, Upstream, Integrated Gas and Downstream.

The anticipated range of projects will include Re-Gas (FSRU projects), Liquid Hydrogen Shipping, Downstream LNG including LNG as a Marine Fuel, Trading and Supply with support for the ship building program, FPSO projects as well as new Technology Development in support of the Shipping and Maritime Technology & Innovation R&D program.

*The role is London based; however it will involve some international travel.*

About the Role:

*Provide specialist expertise and advice on developments in the relevant technology areas.
*Participate in project teams for new construction and conversions.
*Effective liaison with personnel from professional bodies, shipyard managers and Shipping fleet management operations.
*Review proposed rule changes of classification societies and IMO.
*Ensure that maintenance and repair of all related equipment and systems is commensurate with the highest possible quality, realistic cost, and potential period out of service.
*Identify means for cost savings whilst maintaining the highest levels of safety and engendering the appropriate climate for innovation within the discipline.
*Participation in Industry Committees and Workgroups eg Oil Companies International Marine Forum (OCIMF).
*Provide guidance at a general level on maritime law conventions and maritime contracts.
*Interact with Projects and Technology in Rijswijk, Bangalore and Houston

About You:

*A minimum of Class 1 (Deck) Certificate of Competency and/or degree in Nautical Science, together with Command/Senior Officer experience on LNG and/or oil tankers.
*Extensive knowledge and experience of marine activities, including offshore terminal operations management, such as a Marine Superintendent or a Marine Logistics Manager, is required.
*A professional with high technical and management capabilities in Oil and/or Gas marine operations
This need to be combined with a positive attitude and an ability to work within a large, globally dispersed project team in a multi-cultural environment. You also need to be a self-starter, a logical thinker and a quick learner, with strong initiative and excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, able to write clearly and concisely.
