You MUST have the following:
- Experience as a Lead Python Developer/Programmer/Software Engineer in an Agile environment
- Strong experience delivering solutions in the AWS (Amazon Web Services) cloud (such as ECS, Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFormation, SQS)
- Advanced ability in CI/CD DevOps tools (such as Docker, Terraform, Openshift, Kubernetes)
- Agile
The following is DESIRABLE not essential:
- Java (J2EE or Core Java)
- R
- Exposure to quantitative analysts in a trading environment
- RStudio
Role: Lead Python Developer (AWS Python Amazon Web Services Developer Software Engineer Programmer Technical Lead Architect Front Office Fixed Income Equities Derivatives ECS Lambda EC2 S3 RDS Redshift CloudFormation SQS Docker Terraform OpenShift Kubernetes Artifactory Trading Finance Java J2EE J2SE Contract Contractor Consultant Asset Manager Investment Manager) required by our asset management client in London. You will a team of 6/7 developers that have created a pretotype product for the automated release and deployment of quantitative models. Currently, there is no process or tool for quant analysts to publish their applications. This tool will enable that so that the quants can focus on the delivery of finance models. The stack is Python, Java, Jenkins, Docker, Terraform, OpenShift (OKD), Kubernetes and Artifactory. Everything is hosted on AWS in an advanced environment that includes the use of Lambda, EC2, ECS, SQS and RedShift.
The setup is fast-paced with rapid releases and decision making. Investment is significant so there are all the tools available that you may need. They are using the entirety of the AWS suite.
Your background will be Python with AWS in a commercial environment. You will have advanced experience in DevOps tools for CI/CD purposes. Experience in finance is not essential but any previous exposure to working with quant analysts would be highly desirable.
