Mobilisation Engineer
Prestigious Reading based client requires an accomplished Mobilisation Engineer to support with virtualising Packet Core and Gi-Lan into the cloud environment. The Mobilisation Engineer will help virtualise the Packet Core and Gi-Lan functions including: HGW, AGW, TMF, MSP, ACF, Corporate HGW and ePDG.
*Knowledge and understand of Cisco packet core equipment (ASR 5500) including HGW and AGW (Mobile Packet Core, will be testing CUPS HGW SW). Experience of VMware
*Strong knowledge of troubleshooting packet core networks.
*Previous design knowledge of VF packet core environment highly desirable
*Performs analysis and diagnosis of highly complex networking problems
*Performs analysis of highly complex network designs
*Installation of H/W and S/W, integration testing into customer and 3rd party systems
*Builds simulated networks in test labs to resolve highly complex problems and compatibility issues. Introduce new ways of working
*Demonstration of Cisco products and solutions
*Ability to sell/present to customers the value of advanced services
*Collaborates proactively with other NCE's to ensure optimal use of resources to meet customer needs. Contribute to customers knowledge through the delivery of knowledge transfer sessions
*Generates project documentation including test plans
*Network configuration/supporting pre-sales/Plans network upgrades/migration activity
*Leads network workshops/network resolution
*Work extensively with clients and account teams to develop strategies and deploy complex services
Essential
*Expert level internetworking and troubleshooting in a large scale network environment
*Undertake support as designated advanced services consultant for large scale networks
*Solid account management skills/Large scale network design skills
*Active participant in virtual technology teams
*In-depth knowledge of network management, network availability and capacity planning
*Expert level knowledge in: IP Networking, LAN switching, ATM &Voice technologies, IP Telephony, SAN, CDN, Optical, Wireless, IPCC, WAN protocols (Frame Relay, ISDN), IP Routing protocols (IGRP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP)
*Undertake support as designated advanced services engineer for large scale networks
*Must possess strong technical account management skills
*Professional level CCDP, CCNP or CCIE written/CCIE Lab desirable
*Experience in: SGSN/GGSN, Mobile Core Integration, VoIP, Vmware Vsphere, Vmware vCenter Site Recovery Manager, Voice, Vmware Horizon Suite (aka View)
*Cisco Architecture and Technologies: Mobility: Other, Packet Core: PDI, Packet Core: Opt, Small Cell Licensed, Telco Cloud, Policy, Validation, Self-Optimizing Network, Wireless
*Sub-Technologies: Packet Core: Opt: IP, Satellite Radio Access Network (SATRAN), Ethernet, Analytics, Layer 3 Routing - Packet Core: PDI: Network Planning, Mobile IPv6, Data Packet-Switches, Simulation/Optimization and Capacity Planning, Voice and Video oLTE
