Communication Systems Engineer

Description

A leading UK Defence Contractor require a Communication Systems Engineer to join their team in Barrow-in-Furness on an initial 6 Month Contract basis.

This role will pay £53.00 per hour Ltd (PAYE rates available upon request)

Clearance Requirements

This role will require the person to hold full Security Clearance (SC) prior to working onsite. You must currently hold or be eligible and willing to obtain SC. In addition, this role involves direct access to ITAR Material. Therefore we can only consider British Nationals for this role and cannot consider those who hold a Dual Nationality. The Role

Principal Engineer for ICPDS carrying out internal comms and platform data system design work.

A detailed understanding of at least one of the following disciplines:
* Design and deployment of Voice Over IP (VOIP) networks
* Deployment of Private Branch Exchange systems
* Acoustics Modelling and Simulation
* Speech Quality Analysis
* Design of Public Address or Voice Alarm or Installed Sound Systems
* Design of audio distribution systems
* Design of trunked radio systems
* Design of communications systems for safety critical applications
* Design and installation of electrical equipment in explosive atmospheres

Proven track record of system or equipment design

BEng/BSc and/or MEng/MSc degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as, or equivalent experience in;
* Communications Engineering
* Electrical Engineering
* Telecommunications
* Electronic Engineering
* Acoustics/Audio Engineering/Audio Technology
