Java Application Integration Services
The Java Application Integration Services team engineers (ie designs and develops), supports and operates the Application Server infrastructures. These enable integrating business applications with operating systems in a standardized way and whatever the hardware platform (Windows, Linux) while enforcing "ities" (security, availability, operability, manageability, reliability, scalability, portability requirements).
The team works in an agile environment following Scrum methodology.
Role:
Integrate the delivery team of Java Application Integration Services.
This includes various activities: design, implement Application Server in several technologies.
All these activities are executed in an agile way with high focus on automation regarding deployment and configuration management.
The DevOps engineer must contribute to advanced security vulnerability assessment.
In terms of integration, the DevOps engineer should master advanced technics on distributed platforms: security management, deployment and automation frameworks.
Profile
Necessary technical skills:
Implementation and administration of Internet infrastructures including DMZ components.
Integration of the IBM WebSphere Application Server version 8.5.5 & 9.0 products on Linux platform (WAS server, IHS web server and Apache based Reverse Proxy Server).
Knowledge in Linux Pace Maker clustering and system, Security (OpenSSL and certificate management), Network DMZ and automated deployment methods.
Good expertise in source control management tools like Microsoft Azure DevOps and GitLab.
Required experiences in:
- WebSphere Application Server traditional and Liberty.
- JBOSS EAP, Apache TomCat, Apache Httpd.
- Bash and python/Jython Scripting.
- Distributed version control repository (Git in Azure DevOps)
- Ansible automation platform.
- Scrum Framework.
Assets:
- IBM WAS Certification.
- RSA Web Authentication agent for Apache.
- Apache Httpd compilation and packaging.
- Dynatrace.
- ServiceNow.
Personal Qualities:
Team player, friendly, communicative, open, honest, thoughtful and committed. Must work cooperatively with other teams located in different sites, sharing ideas and collaborating and ultimately putting team goals first.
Working experience in international organizations.
Able to support off-hours work as required, including weekends, holidays, and 24/7 on call responsibilities on a rotational basis. (1 week out of 4).
Willing to learn and support third party applications and to share the experience.
Main activities:
Work within the "Java Application Integration Services" team, with the objective to maintain and guarantee at group level the technical evolution regarding Application Server and Internet platforms infrastructure.
This includes the following:
- Technical analyses and application design.
- Performance analysis and capacity planning
- Realize and document changes, evolutions
- Software installation, maintenance and infrastructure tuning
- Software Release management
- Technical environments administration
- Deployment & supervision tools Scripting
- 2nd & 3rd level of support for production incidents
- Watch duty (on call) role for production support
- Ensure compliance with security guidelines (Technical Security Standards)
