ROLE DESCRIPTION

To extract themes and tonality to define copy on digital on-screen channels (Web/Tablet/Smartphone). Copywriters will work closely with the design team to incorporate the right content tonality based on the design and the purpose of the end product.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Education:

  • Bachelor degree in marketing/communications or linguistics

Essential Experience:

  • Very well versed in marketing copywriting (print, online, video) content
  • Very well versed in digital on-screen copy (eg push notifications, form instructions, tool tips, action buttons, etc.) - this is super important.
  • Regional (United Arab Emirates) government experience
  • Healthcare experience (if possible)

Preferred Experience:

  • Referenced experience writing digital copy, specifically notifications, alerts, error messages, tool tips, app copy and educational instructions
  • Exposure to regional clients (GCC) and thorough understanding of expectations and cultural nuances
  • Thought leadership in copy standards and best practices in the digital space
  • Working with teams (creatives, strategists, developers and other copywriters)
  • Use of technology solutions to create and publish content
  • Excellent research capabilities to drive relevant content (both primary and secondary research)

Language:

  • Fluency in English - native/fluent speaker (in both written and verbal communications)
  • Proficient in Arabic (preferred) - as a second language (in both written and verbal communications)

NOT INTERESTED IN

  • Online content creators
  • Authors/poets/writers
  • Advertising copywriters (those who work with tag lines, promotional messages, etc.) this is not the nature of this engagement

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute against copywriting brief to write English channel copy (web/tablet/mobile)
  • Ensure consistency in copy message between English and Arabic
  • Varying tone and copy to support multiple audience groups
  • Brainstorming copy ideas with other members of the creative team
  • Modifying copy until the client is satisfied
  • Be highly creative and imaginative
  • Have good written and interpersonal skills that suit the end users
  • Work well in a team
  • Be able to work under pressure
  • Have an eye for detail
