Large Automotive manufacturer need an experienced Senior Software Engineer to assist with a variety of digital projects. Senior Software Engineer with a passion for innovative problem solving, quality-first coding and practicing continuous Integration. For the selected Senior Software Engineer this is a great opportunity to join an innovative and collaborative team and grow an entirely new software development capability.

Skills required

3 KEY SKILLS REQUIRED JAVA, Spring Boot or another OO language. Experience with modern CI/CD tools and techniques.

Skills preferred

  • Experience with Kubernetes or other cloud infrastructure (Google cloud Platform, AWS, Azure)
  • Experience building mobile apps using frameworks such as React native
  • Familiarity with polygot persistence
  • Experience with a NoSQL database engine (Mongo,Neo4j etc)

Experience

We are keen to speak to people who also have the following skills:
Extensive experience developing bespoke built enterprise scale cloud-native applications
Strong experience with relational database technologies such as MySQL or similar
Experienced advocate for practices such as Test Driven Development and Pair Programming
Experience with Service Oriented Architectures: ReSTful APIs and Microservices
Experience with modern web technologies such as HTML5 and CSS
Strong Object Oriented programming skills
Experience with source code management and version control (Git/GitHub/GitLab)
Experience with modern CI/CD tools and techniques
Previous involvement in all stages of the software delivery life cycle
Passion for mentoring and technical coaching of developers
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
