SAP Trainer - 12-month fixed term contract

Our Retail Customer in Central Manchester current requires a talented system and behavioural trainer to join a large Retail Change Transformation Programme. If you have the drive & experience required, the client can offer you a fantastic opportunity to build your profile whilst helping shape, develop, and deliver their facilitator-led training strategy right from the start.

As a trainer, you'll look to work with programme colleagues, develop facilitator-led training materials and deliver a brilliant training experience for people impacted by the change across the business systems. It's important to all colleagues to feel confident in their own capabilities, and it'll be your job to make this happen.

What you'll do:

  • Motivate and support the team, providing feedback, support and guidance to ensure best practice
  • Be the face of training and a key contact for the Programme Teams
  • Design and deliver facilitator-led training materials linking into the wider transformation programme blending programme strategy
  • Look at what systems training is needed to get teams and colleagues up to speed from day 1
  • Maintain and update training in line with system changes/improvements
  • Link in with senior leadership team to understand what training and development might be needed as part of wider strategic changes
  • Link in with Training Delivery Manager to understand and the track the impact of training being delivered
  • Use impact assessment results to identify gaps and make sure the team are doing all they can to support the change through the training materials/sessions
  • Participate in user acceptance testing, when required
  • Assess and apply training assessment feedback

The role would suit candidates who have:

  • Experience of training, coaching and developing the skills of system users in a variety of environments
  • Experience of designing facilitator-led training and associated materials
  • Great people skills and the confidence to lead and influence others
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to effortlessly deliver professional insight and recommendations to people at all levels
  • Must be able to handle challenge, objections and resistance within facilitator-led training sessions in professional manner gaining confidence of attendees
  • Ability to motivate individuals who may be resistance to change
