Description

The incumbent will be required to perform the following duties:
*Draft, define and coordinate generic operational scenarios needed to perform Operational Demonstrations with Users and AirC2 Staff;
*Participate in the scenario definition activities at the STVF and on Sites in accordance with the contract terms;
*Review the deliverables arising from the contract, to ensure that the contractor has correctly interpreted the relevant specifications relating to T&E;
*Ensure that resources (personnel, interfaces, communications, flights, etc) required for testing are identified, planned, and co-ordinated;
*Ensure that test plans and procedures, and test results are produced and analysed to support verification and validation;
*Monitor the T&E related test activities of related national implementation contracts and advising host nations as required;
*Evaluate test plans and schedules proposed by the contractor(s) and providing recommendations and/or comments;
*Participate in contract milestone reviews, technical interchange meetings, contract deliverable reviews and other project meetings.
Skills and Experience
*Master of Science (MSc) degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a related discipline and 5 years post-related experience;
*Or a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a related discipline and 7 years post related experience;
*Or exceptionally, the lack of a university/college degree may be compensated by the demonstration of a candidate's particular abilities or experience that is/are of interest to NCI Agency and 12 years extensive and progressive expertise in the duties related to the operational aspects of an AirC2 system;
*Must have recent experience of Air C2 System;
*Must have good knowledge of AirC2 operational processes and procedures, specifically the test issue resolution process;
*Recent experience in the management (planning and execution) of larger verification and validation activities for large-scale distributed software-intensive CIS to include functional, performance and interoperability;
*Good knowledge of, and practical experience in, modern test engineering and test management methods and paradigms;
*Experience in the operational or technical use of Air C2 systems;
*Knowledge of Tactical Data Links and other military or civilian interoperability standards for messaging and data exchange related to air traffic;
*Experience as a Master or Duty Controller with good practical experience in both the Real Time and non Real Time aspects of Air C2.
*Formal qualification in validation and verification engineering or testing is desirable.
