Description
Teams Voice & Video Architect required by consultancy firm to work onsite at one their clients to provide end to end technology ownership for Microsoft Teams based voice and video services to support this global businesses. This role is responsible for the technical solution for global voice and video network, interoperability with associated Legacy voice, video and event streaming communications technologies, immersive video conferencing technology and multi-party voice and video collaboration across different end points and use cases. The role is responsible for the strategic architecture, design, automation, engineering, product life cycle and development of all in scope Microsoft and related voice and video services. To realize these goals and objectives the position must balance core Microsoft technology, product vision and with a delivery focused pragmatism with an eye on workplace experience plus business value. The role also encompasses wider awareness of the Microsoft Modern Workplace platform working across regions in a strong multi-disciplined architecture group embracing agile ways of working.
Skills:
Architect SME' level experience in Teams and Skype for Business Online
Office 365 or UCC technology position
Enterprise global voice estates of c15,000 seats and above
Experienced in working with large geographically dispersed teams
Deep level of understanding of voice technologies: TDM, SIP, QoS, SBC, Codecs, Voice Recording and general IPT
Call/Contact Center Technology and Cloud PBX
International voice and video strategy deployment
Excellent written and verbal communication
Working knowledge of Google, Office-365 and Microsoft Collaboration suites and experience in managing Collaboration Technologies
Being a key sponsor for technology development, management and governance
Leads by example and encourages the team to maintain excellent visibility of industry wide trends and emerging technologies/vendors and ensures that the team understands and utilize developments to the benefit of Pearson
An open collaborator that shares and coaches their colleagues and works proactively inside their immediate and peer teams
Strong communication and influencing skills
Skills and Qualifications
ITIL operational awareness and understanding
Relevant Microsoft skills and certification: Office 365, Skype and Azure
Voice vendor skills such as Avaya, Polycom, Cisco certification, awareness and understanding
Strong PowerShell skills, preferential secondary skills in JSON
Agile methodology: Scrum, SaFE or equivalent
