Social Media and Content Manager

Please note that the successful applicant will have to operate via an Umbrella Company or as a PAYE contractor

As one of Vodafone Strategic Partners we are currently recruiting a Social Media and Content Manager to be based in Paddington on a Maternity cover contract. The Social Media and Content Manager will be responsible for the global social media and content strategy for Consumer Internet of Things products. They will work closely with product marketing managers to translate the consumer proposition (inc. launches of new, innovative, best-in-class products in 2020) into meaningful content that delivers value for the business (awareness, consideration, sales, loyalty) and ensures customers stay engaged and happy with Vodafone.

Core competencies, knowledge and experience

  • Experienced in defining social media and content strategies in a large, complex, multi-national environment (more than 5 years)
  • Knowledge of how to take complex products and translate into engaging content
  • Experienced in managing social communities and delivering best-in-class social customer service, working with large customer service teams
  • Experienced in managing agencies, social creative briefs, creative approvals with multiple stakeholders (marketing, product, legal)
  • Excellent written English and social copywriting experience
  • Knowledge of paid social and how to report sales on social and social ROI effectively
  • Excellent programme management skills and can-do attitude, with ability to multi task across a range of product launches and partnership opportunities with effective reporting of key developments to all stakeholders, overcoming challenges and managing risks
  • High customer focus and ability to communicate effectively, inspire and influence
  • Ability to take consultative approach to business problems
  • A flair for innovation and working in a start-up environment, no task is beneath you and new challenges are actively sought out
