Machine Learning Engineer - Contract - West London
As one of Vodafone's strategic partners we are currently recruiting for a Machine Learning Engineer to join their team based in West London on a contract basis. Please note this role will be PAYE or Umbrella.
The Machine Learning Engineer will be responsible for the following:
- Develop algorithms in collaboration with data scientist, standardise machine learning solutions and translate them into production systems
- Lead end-to-end design and implementation of software and platform components
- Support the Group Big Data and AI team in producing high performing and stable applications, which perform complex processing of massive volumes of data in a Cloud based analytics platform.
- Package machine learning code into reusable libraries and APIs
- Support and contribute, with the rest of the Big Data team of Data Engineering/QA/Data Science, to define best practice for the agile development of applications to run on the Big Data Platform
Key skills & experience required for the Machine Learning Engineer:
- Expert level in software engineering
- Experience with CI/CD and containerisation (eg Docker, Kubernetes, etc)
- Experience with Pyspark
- Experience with tensorflow (highly desired)
- Pipeline automation experience (airflow, Jenkins or similar)
- GCP or AWS experience
- Engineer at scale using production-level architectures
- Solid experience and expertise across data integration, management and modelling
- Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts
- Successful experience working in cross-functional teams of product owners, data scientists, engineers, and technology professionals
- Experience with telco data, digital, and app data highly desirable
- Applied Scrum/Agile methodologies
