Software Developer - Central London - 6 months
People Source are currently seeking a Senior Software Developer with strong experience in Ruby on Rails to take on a 6 month contract with our central London based Government Client.
The Senior Developer will:
*Assist and guide other team members where necessary as you design, create and improve new and existing products, platforms and transactions across the organisation.
*Lead the development of new IT solutions and initiatives.
*Implement APIs for internal and external use.
*Build up a useful, robust automated test suite to support a continuous deployment environment.
*Have knowledge of tools and techniques used within the wider team, both Developers and Non-Developers.
*Take part in 2nd-line support of applications and platforms.
*Have experience building Server Side web applications in Ruby and have detailed knowledge of HTML, JavaScript and CSS.
This will be a 6 Month initial contract with a high likelihood of extension. The rate is set at £600pd.
