Service Desk/Desktop Support
My fantastic client in Huntingdon is currently looking for a Desktop Support Engineer. This role will be to provide 1st/2nd Line technical support. The role will be a BAU Support role and will be to help with a backlog as well as potentially get involved in project work when required.
Key Deliverable's:
- To analyse & resolve IT incidents
- Provide ITIL Second Level Service Desk functions for the partnership
- To maintain system performance
- To provide support for in excess of 150+ Corporate systems
- Determine the priority of incidents with users/Desktop Analyst Team Leader
- To provide where required bespoke IT guidance
- To maintain and audit inventory of computer assets & software licences
- To perform daily operational tasks such as server checks, system backups and data transfer routines
- Carry out change management processes to the required standards when dealing with user requests
Experience:
- Experience of working in a Service Desk support function in a significantly sized organisation supporting 2000+ networked PCs and 100+ Servers
- High awareness of Customer Care - the Desktop Analyst role is a high-profile function delivering its services to the whole of the Council & Elected Members
- High level of technical skills, troubleshooting PC hardware, software & networking issues
- Sound programming skills (MS Office 365 preferred)
This is a 3-month contract paying £ per day depending on experience.
