SAP ABAP/Interface Lead
Whitehall Resources are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP/Interface Lead for an initial 3 month contract in the East Midlands.
Responsibility
- Analysed the integration requirements for different systems including SAP and Non SAP
- Responsible for analysing changes to the existing complex interface landscape (Mainly SAP inbound and outbound interfaces)
- Work with the team to manage design, build, test and deployment of identified interfaces and ABAP development
- Responsible for requirement gathering from the IT teams/Non SAP application owners and business team (requirements specification doc), determining the scope of existing interfaces and correspondingly generating the Gap Analysis and design documents for interface change
- Present Interface analysis and changes to IT design authority and the technical owners/DAs
- Prepare and own the plan and delivery for Interface and technical delivery
- Maintain and manage creating RICEFW list for interfaces with all the details about the technologies to be used
- Manage Interface Designing and Technical Documents as per client requirements and standards
- Prepared and manage test scripts and performed end to end Interface testing.
- Manage the Interface and ABAP design, development, Transports/Deployment of interfaces from Development to Quality and Production environments
- Responsible for Creating and Tracking of Integration Team Risks, Issues, Actions, Decisions document along with tracking development of objects.
Skills and success attributes
- Over all 10+ years over all experience
- 7+ Years Interface design and development experience using SAP PI, ALE, Flat File, SAP idoc experience
- 5+ Years ABAP experience
- 5+ Years Technical Interface lead experience
- Worked on developing ABAP Transactions/Dialog Programming. Experience in working with IDOCs (Basic and extension) and BAPIs.
- Knowledge of ALE settings for IDOCS, port and partner profile configurations, logical systems and RFC destinations.
- Required: multi-vendor experience, offshore/remote experience
- Ability to lead and design large, complex technical interface for SAP and Non SAP applications
- Managing offshore development team for delivering under challenging timelines.
- Worked on enterprise integration solution PI with BODS for complex transformations.
- Self-starter-able to work on his/her own initiative with minimal supervision.
