Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing financial support to the multi- functional Contract Closure Team, offering advice and guidance, ensuring that accurate and relevant financial information is available to the Managers in a timely manner.
  • Producing pricing information in line with the agreed Contract closure plan.
  • Providing financial support to any Ministry of Defence Audit investigations ensuring that audit queries are resolved and audits are completed in a timely manner
  • Ensuring robust controls and governance are in place when completing Contract Closure activities and all supporting documentation is compliant with published processes and work instructions. Ensuring the control environment is maintained in accordance with BAE Systems Operational Framework and Finance Policies Manual to satisfy all financial control framework requirements.
  • Reporting to the Senior Accountant - Tornado Panavia and Contract Closure, the incumbent will provide project accounting support to the Panavia Tornado They will assist in the financial management of the UK and Europe contracts that are currently subject to closure with particular reference to historical bucket and MOD Kit set contracts, helping to ensure effective financial controls are in place and financial information is accurate. The incumbent will be required to work with a Multi-functional Team and the Ministry of Defence.
  • In Support of Contract Closure help with the identification, monitoring and closing of Financial liabilities and opportunities, undertake any trading activities and perform the necessary final Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss reviews.
  • Provide financial support to the multi- functional Tornado Panavia Team, offering advice and guidance, ensuring that accurate and relevant financial information is available to the Managers in a timely manner.

Rate: £32.00 per hour
