Clearance Requirements & Eligiblity
This role will require the person to hold full Security Clearance (SC) prior to working onsite. You must currently hold or be eligible and willing to obtain SC. In addition, this role involves direct access to ITAR Material. Therefore we can only consider British Nationals for this role and cannot consider those who hold a Dual Nationality. The Role
We require a Senior Network Engineer to undertake a defined range of Network engineering design, development & test activities for Combat Systems programmes in line with all relevant processes and quality requirements.
Essential Skills
An understanding of how to configure and setup Juniper and Dell Switches and Fortinet Firewalls
An understanding of the technology behind a switched architecture and its workings (DNS, DHCP, Security, IP Switching/Routing, HTTP, VPN, VSS, Multicast, QoS etc.)
Required Current Juniper JNCIP level
Experience of working with Switches, Routers, Hubs, Servers, Cables (CAT 5-6), Fibre Optics, Racks LAN, WAN, TCP/IP (Ethernet)
Network Management & Monitoring Systems eg PRTG and Solarwinds
Required Current Juniper JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP level.
