The Task:
Templeton and Partners Limited is currently looking for an Enterprise Agile Coach for a long-term project based in London.
The Enterprise Agile coach role is a critical platform to help shape the leadership mindset and values in readiness for the challenges of this digital innovation journey.
Our Enterprise Agile coach:
- Core focus working directly with our senior executives and managers in building business agility. Experience in the context of customer centricity is preferred but not essential.
- Change Management to plan and deliver transformation (eg Lean Change Management, improvement Kata) and working with our PMO to build and facilitate the Portfolio processes
- Business analysis and planning (Portfolio Management, Business Value Equation, Business models, Lean Startup)
- Mastery of public speaking and presentation skills at a senior exec level
- A deep understanding of advanced facilitation practices, with the ability to shape and drive programmes to enhance psychological safety and a mutual learning mindset.
- Mentoring at senior exec level
- Works with the Agile delivery lead and Agile Coaches to help drive Agile maturity in the organization
- Potential to be the Scrum Master for the Executive team (depending on approach)
-Coach the programme on how to use Agile practices and values to delight customers
-Shape and drive the strategic scaling of Agile practices (with appropriate methodologies) to ensure continuous improvement and effective cross team collaboration
-Guide the teams on how to get the most out of self-organization
-Assess the Agile maturity of the programme and coach to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team
-Removes (or guides teams to remove) the project impediments blocking them by finding the right channels to resolve issues and risks
-Builds a trusting and safe environment in their teams where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on team harmony and problem-solving
-Facilitates getting the work done without coercion, assignment, or dictating the work
-Facilitates discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
-Assists with internal and external team comms, improving transparency
-Partners with other teams to instill learnings and best practice across Digital
Required Skills/Experience:
- Experience in playing the Agile coach/transformation lead role for at least 4 years, for innovation teams that apply a broad range of Scrum/Kanban principles, practices, and theory
- Understanding of iterative/exploratory product development processes and procedures
- Exceptional skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continuous improvement, and communication- able to walk the leadership floor' and identify improvement opportunities on the fly to multiple Senior stakeholders and teams, and support with proactive interventions.
- Awareness and experience with a broad range of Agile techniques such as: Value stream mapping, Persona mapping, User Stories, LSP, TDD, Continuous Integration, Gamification
- Deep understanding of scaling portfolio, with practical experience of reshaping growing teams to make them effective- able to lead/coach the team in developing effective strategies
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Domain experience: Customer centricity and UX
- Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, Safe, Less, Nexus etc.
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills
- Experience with Azure Dev Ops (ADO) or equivalent tool for SDLC management
- Experience managing relationships and influencing at the Senior Executive level
- Experience of working in a global business environment/different cultures
