Purpose of the Role:
- Supporting projects, small change and service improvements and Run Support depending on demand.
As the IST, you will be responsible for:
- Provide technical administration support for all Hardware and Software across the group
- Work with Infrastructure Managers and technical subject matter experts to define policies and set standards to improve efficiency and working practice within the estate.
- Provide support & guidance to less experienced Infrastructure System Administrators.
- Respond to alerts in a timely manner.
- Ensure systems are managed to the satisfaction of the business Incidents and Service Requests closed within SLA.
- Utilising root cause analysis to Problem records.
- Fully document systems including DR procedures, recovery procedures, build procedures, call out logs, decision logs, and maintenance procedures and fix knowledge base.
The skills, attributes and capabilities we are seeking from you include:
- Previous experience working in a 3rd line Infrastructure role.
- Excellent problem-solving, organisational and prioritising skills
- Ability to solve technical computing issues and seek out the root causes to problems
- Proficient using and supporting MS operating systems & applications
- Skills that will help you in the role IT related degree or relevant qualifications is highly desirable
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Willingness to learn new software and hardware skills
- Happy to support other projects across the business out with BAU
