Description
A Human Factors Engineer is urgently required with strong experience of performing Human Factors assessments and operability evaluations for software systems, for a very large, high profile infrastructure project for one of the UK's largest service providers.
Human Factors Engineer Role and Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver innovative Human Factors solutions in a fast-paced environment
- Design and evaluate human work systems using human factors engineering and ergonomic principles to optimize usability, cost, quality, safety and performance
- Perform Human Factors assessments and operability evaluations on large enterprise systems
- Create detailed reports on Human Factor elements within a Human Machine Interface (HMI)/Human Computer Interaction (HCI)/Control Systems environment
- Ensure software graphics quality, ergonomics and clarity
- Work collaboratively within a well-established team of Engineers, on a set of new greenfield projects
Human Factors Engineer Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrable experience working in a Human Factor Engineer/HMI Engineer/HCI engineer role
- Experience creating detailed reports on Human Factor/Ergonomic principles to optimise complex systems
- Attention to detail, able to ensure system graphics clarity and ergonomics
- Experience working within multi-disciplinary teams within a fast-paced environment
- Degree or similar level qualification in Human Factors/HMI/HCI would be beneficial
- Technically minded and confident, able to present well and interact with varying levels of the business
