Description

Developed Software Support Engineer

This is a 12-month initial contract position

Must be able to obtain security clearance

I'm recruiting for a number of Developed Software Support Engineers to join a Global Telecoms Powerhouse in Erskine, Scotland- you'll be responsible for the installation, configuration and ongoing support of internally developed software and 3rd Party applications and their integrations. You'll work within a Global team, liaising between account teams & application owners to ensure Requirements are met & continuity of service is maintained.

Skills required include:

Essential Skills

  • Ability to think through and resolve complex issues
  • Production application support
  • Knowledge of Change and Incident Management processes
  • Knowledge of basic programming techniques, DevOps, and MicroServices
  • Knowledge of web technologies ie Apache
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS
  • Knowledge of one or more of SQL, PHP, Perl or Shell programming
  • Practical knowledge of Linux
  • Practical knowledge of MySQL/Microsoft SQLServer databases and queries

Desirable Skills

  • ITIL Foundation
  • Knowledge of networking technologies
  • Experience of advanced programming languages such as Java
  • Experience of Enterprise Service Busses
