Senior GIS Transformation/Implementation/Project Manager/Architect (Smallworld)
Implementation of a new GIS - Smallworld - platform
PM with Agile knowledge, Scandinavian speaking a plus, but not a must
This is a unique opportunity to join a leading Telecom Operator in Scandinavia, to be involved in supporting a large transformation program of the GIS platform Smallworld!
Its an extremely highly profiled exercise, with lots of focus from management, that this succeeds in well manner!
A new GIS platform contract has just been signed, meaning a new GIS system must be implemented, ie old existing data moved into the new one, so it's an agile project
They have a defined their transformation and integration/implementation team,YOUR role will be to support both this transformation/integration and lead their GIS Systems team to deliver this migration through 2020.
We are looking for;
Strong GIS System Implementation Manager, with Smallworld experience, who can add to the strategic vision and operational functionality primarily focused on their current GIS system data, is transferred into the new one, (possible cloud Solution), in connection with the different It departments!
Knowledge of how GIS integrates with other utility-based software systems such as computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), customer service systems, financial systems and project management systems.
Proven experience in cloud solutions delivery (ideally GIS) and systems requirements build, design and delivery
Experience in developing and documenting design principles
Practical knowledge of the external regulatory and commercial environment impacting data management drivers and issues
Management and ownership of the relationship with their 3rd party supplier for their core system
Strong interpersonal skills (eg persuasion, negotiation, listening, cooperation, tact, diplomacy, problem solving, internal consulting, etc.).
Excellent quantitative skills (analytical and technical).
Strong coaching, mentoring, and developing skills as related to GIS training.
Work to influence and partner with key internal stakeholders including Integration team and CIO to drive and support business change
Manage the service performance of the system and our external software providers, particularly critical through period of change
Significant project management experience to facilitate a small team of systems analysts in general system development including general upgrades, to improve functionality, manage and drive automation, exploring in house config capabilities, improve accuracy and future system integration etc
Help the business look to the future and post integration 2022+ future strategic system landscape/road map
Experience/Education
Minimum 7 years of experience working in a project-delivery based environment.
Experience with CAD and document management systems would be an advantage.
Experience in GIS systems configuration and implementation. Ideally, with a utility business background. Candidate must be experienced in the process, data design and layering strategies and the configuration of GIS and relational database systems.
Experience with various GIS applications with emphasis on Telecom utilities strongly desired.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or related technical field.
