Endeavour Recruitment is looking for a French-speaking Systems Engineer to join their clients Engineering team for a long-term contract in Marcinelle, Belgium. As a promoter of sustainable mobility, our client develops and markets systems, equipment and services for the transport sector.
About
The systems Engineer is part of the Project Engineering team, and will develop system or subsystems architecture, defining and allocating requirements, evaluating design trade-offs, balancing technical risk, defining and assessing interfaces, keeping close coordination with verification activities and with project deployment activities, in line with the System/Subsystem Roadmap. You will provide all the necessary support to the System Engineering Manager/Project Engineering Manager for the technical answer to the needs expressed by the Solution Director and the specific user project needs
Responsibilities
- Developing the system documents, including plans, specifications and other technical documents
- Applying the system engineering processes
- Ensuring that the system technically fulfils the defined needs and enhancements (change requests) and that a proper system engineering approach is being followed
- Ensuring technical consistency and alignment with the other System & Project Engineering teams throughout the development, providing technical support to V&V, and support to Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety Analysis. Interact with other System Engineers and with other Métier engineers to that ensure the design fits with the intended architecture.
- Developing typical applications of the system for Generic System/Product validation purposes and manage design feedback from verification and validation team.
- Minimize, by design, the System deployment cost, lead time and risks.
- Contributing to the definition and maintenance of the System Baselines, analyse and implement Change Requests.
- Preparing and participate in Design Reviews.
- Contributing to system configuration activities, to requirement management activities.
- Ensuring that the system follows standardization approach by reusing existing solutions or by implementing reusable solutions, and by providing for generic System/product an efficient system deployment kit (tools, user documentation ).
- Provide support to Program/Projects external stakeholders (Customers, Users, Tenders) and participate to the QCD estimation.
- Understand and apply the TIS System Development processes and contribute to continuous improvement (RoE, process, ).
- Advise the SEM/PrEM of the recommended path that the development should take, outlining the reasons for that recommendation
Requirements
- 3 - 5 years' experience - Electronics Engineer/Product Designer/Systems Designer (Embedded system)
- French Fluent
