The successful candidate will hold active DV clearance.
This Systems Engineer, as part of a larger 4th Line Engineering support team, will provide specialist support for the whole Inc2c environment with particular emphasis on Oracle and SQL Server databases.
They will also provide technical support to issues raised by the Service Management Centre (SMC), be responsible for the investigation and delivery of defect resolutions through Engineering in to the Production Environment without impacting the Live service, delivering engineering changes to time and quality and be responsible for following the engineering life cycle.
In addition, they may be required to work evenings and weekends in support of the project as well as London site visits.
In addition to the Oracle and SQL specialisms, the engineer will support all parts of the infrastructure with particular focus on live issues including Windows 2008/R2, Windows Vista/7, Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell, HP Client Automation (Radia), VMWare, McAfee Products, Lumension Products, Windows Installer, IP/Firewall technologies, SAN based storage as well as in-house applications.
Additionally:
- Provide technical support to issues raised by the Service Ops Centre
- Be responsible for the investigation and delivery of defect resolutions through Engineering in to the Production Environment without impacting the Live service.
- Be responsible for delivering engineering changes to time and quality
- Be responsible for following the engineering life cycle
Mandatory Skills Required:
- Oracle Subject Matter Expert.
- Good Communication Skills.
- Be capable of producing concise install documentation.
- Good analysis and problem solving skills.

- Experience of working in a secure environment

- Windows Oracle 12c expertise and experience in performance optimisation and problem diagnosis using Oracle, TOAD and other tools in a secure production environment
