Senior Front-end developer (Ionic, TypeScript and AngularJS)
You will be working for an initiative that is matching consumers with contractors when they are planning to renovate their homes. This initiative perfectly fits into this organisation's ambition to fully facilitate the customers' journey in buying and renovating their homes. It is part of an Innovation Centre where new initiatives are born, nurtured and scaled.
Together with a small but senior and dedicated team, you will be working on creating the renovation platform. The first step in their product roadmap is a mobile communication app, especially focused on renovations.
In the coming months they need to ship extra features to distinguish themselves and convert users from WhatsApp to their platform.
In the coming six months we need to validate user adoption.
Your role
It will be your responsibility to develop the Front End of their application and ship their features. In the development process you will be involved in all aspects of planning, designing, and delivering of the software for this initiative.
Their Stack
The Back End is built in Ruby on Rails and the Front End is composed out of a cross-platform App (iOS/Android) built in Ionic, TypeScript and AngularJS.
They use GraphQL (Apollo) with web socket subscriptions to communicate between the Front End and Back End. Naturally they use the latest features available for ES8 and Typescript.
Your profile
- Agile way of working
- 5+ years' experience as Front End developer (HTML/CSS)
- 2+ years' experience with Angular
- Knowing JavaScript inside out including the ES6, ES7 and ES8 feature set
- Good overall command of Agile software development
- Good overall command of Software Development Lifecycle best practices
- Experienced working with TDD/BDD and writing and creating E2E integration testing
- Customer centric & platform thinking
- Energetic, positive mind set and can-do mentality
- Taking ownership and make it happen
Additional Bonus points
- Experience with TypeScript, Elm or other functional languages
- Experience with React
- Experience with GraphQL/Apollo
- Node.js Native or iOS/Android experience (react-native/Ionic)
