Harvey Nash are now inviting candidates to apply for the role of Data Analyst for a public sector organisation based in Edinburgh for a three-month assignment, inside of IR35, this role will pay up to £300 - £340 a day, depending on experience.
Our client is looking for a data analyst to join their multi-disciplinary team on their journey to shape how policy makers for planning in Scotland, use geospatial data to forge better outcomes for the public in the social, health, economic, and environmental fields.
Ideally you will have:
- Strong analytical skills with a grounding in maths or statistics
- An enquiring mind that can bridge field boundaries and make new connection
- The ability to investigate these potential connections using dat
- The ability to communicate verbally and in written form at all levels
Essential Skills:
- Maths and/or stats background
- Experience of using R, python and other structured query languages, and other off the shelf solutions to analyse data
- Experience in statistical modellin
- Experience in extracting and handling data from a variety of sources and systems such as SQL Servers, Oracle, cloud storage and similar
- Data visualisation and storytellin
- Experience in developing dashboards, and visualisations using Tableau, PowerBI, Rshiny, R studio or similar
- The ability to communicate concepts to non-technical audience
