Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Officer to join a well-established organisation in Hull for a 1-month contract.

The successful candidate will assist 2nd and 3rd line support where a request cannot be facilitated remotely. Co-ordinate key functions within the team (asset, 2nd line etc) to ensure efficient delivery in line with SLA performance targets. Responsible for store room and asset processing, including quotes and order processing. Detailed knowledge on operating systems, applications, corporate applications and end user devices in a Virtual Desktop environment.

* This role is umbrella only - it is inside IR35*

*Detailed knowledge of end user hardware, peripherals, and business systems and how they interact and how to provide effective 2nd/3rd line support.
*Effective communication skills to be able to demonstrate effective questioning and answering dialogue with the full range of customers
*Evidence of relevant Continuing Professional Development
*Experience of working in an ICT support environment
*Experience of working with business systems, including upgrades and support
*Experience of working with hardware, peripherals and operating systems including configuration, support and rollout
*Friendly, approachable and constantly displaying a helpful and positive attitude, constantly providing customer focus
*Knowledge of one or more line of business systems for a range of service areas
*Knowledge of operating systems
*Knowledge of relevant industry-standard hardware and software technologies
*National Qualification Framework (NQF) Level 3 (A-Level) qualified or equivalent experience
*Relevant in-depth experience of ICT business systems, supplier management and asset management, stock and store processes
*Relevant in-depth experience of ICT operating systems, hardware and remote and onsite support
*Skills to prioritise and manage workload effectively and with strong view to systems uptime and resilience
*Technical qualification or training relevant or transferable area (eg Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), university studies, work-based training)
