Junior Finance Controller
One of my clients is urgently looking for a Junior Finance Controller for a 6-12 month contract based in Diegem, Belgium.
Tasks and Projects:
- Full support on the monthly closings process
- Variance analysis and corrective actions
- Responsible for project follow-up & controlling (order to cash process)
- Ensure the control, accuracy, predictability and timely delivery of figures, analyses and comments
- Identify and highlight financial risks and opportunities in the business
- Analyze and optimize internal control processes
- Delivering (ad hoc) analysis/reporting
- Driving analysis and participate in optimization projects
- Support on bids and validation of the financials
- Support in the forecasting process
- Reporting directly to the CFO
Profile
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience (in consultancy would be a real plus)
- University degree, preferably Financial-Economic oriented or equivalent
- Familiar with PC, MS Office (in depth Excel knowledge is a requirement) and use of financial tools and preferably with systems like Oracle, BO and Hyperion
- Strong affinity with the possibilities of IT to develop effective solutions and/or workarounds needed to improve existing processes and systems.
- Eager to understand the operations behind the numbers
- Good knowledge of French and/or Dutch. English is mandatory
- Analytical mindset, numerical and organizational skills with ability to summarize and prioritize subjects
- Pragmatic approach to build reporting in a complex environment
- Results oriented
- Strong interpersonal- and communication skills
- Proactive and team-player
