1st line support- Windows, AD,0365- Stockport- £125 a day

The 1st Line Support Engineer works in a fast-paced environment to provide technical support to customers assisting them with PC, server, networking, hardware problems.

The role includes answering queries from customers via phone and email, gathering information, creating a ticket in our service desk system, and finding solutions to problems - in a calm and positive manner.

Who you are

12 months experience working in an IT service desk environment
Experience with providing high level customer service
Ability to use ticket management systems
Knowledge of working with windows Servers
Experience working with AD, setting up new user accounts

Who you'll be

Answer phone calls and log tickets
Pick up service desk tickets as directed by the team leader
Liaising directly with customers
Gather information, problem solve and escalate as necessary
Application installs, configuration, support and training
PC and Laptop builds
Troubleshooting PCs, Laptops, Printers and Scanners
Creating user accounts in Active Directory
Password resets
Checking backups
Office 365 admin (new users, etc)
Phone diverts on VoIP systems (Horizon)
Responding to alerts on our internal monitoring system AMS
Contributing to Knowledge Bases and other departmental documentation
Ensuring compliance to security protocols
Ensuring a high level of customer service
Ensure the Service Desk System is updated promptly and all time resolving an issue is accounted
Ensure SLA's are kept on Response Times, Ticket Quality, and Time Logging
