SW Developer - Large Global Financial Organisation
Java/Golang/C++ - RICA
Software Developer to join a Large Financial organisation based in Prague. Required to code in multiple languages or doesn't mind switching between languages to work in an agile development team, which maintains and implements new features to a tool in the area of risk & default management. IT team is in Prague, business people in Frankfurt, Germany. Will code in various languages in Java/Golang/C++/Javascript/MATLAB. Our applications are deployed both in cloud and on-premise.
Tasks/responsibilities
- Design, develop test, deploy maintain and improve various applications in agile environment
- Understand needs of business and translate them into working code
- Manage your own project priorities, deadlines and deliverables
- Collaborate with team members and project stakeholders
Qualifications/required skills
- Programming competency: Java, C++, JavaScript (REACT) and Golang (at least one)
- Background in building distributed applications on Linux or in a cloud native stack
- Familiarity with SQL databases (Oracle, MySQL, Postgres)
- A degree in Computer Science, Math or Engineering or equivalent experience
- An appreciation of the challenges of building, running and servicing a minimum downtime production system
- Interest and ability to learn, collaborative working style
- Very good written and spoken English skills
Preferred skills/qualifications - the following will be plus
- Experience with Kubernetes, Openshift
- DevOps experience with GitHub, Terraform, CI/CD (Circle or similar)
- An interest or background in mathematics, financial markets and risk management
