Network Security Engineers x2

Location: Aberdeen

Rate: £40 - £45 per hour

Duration: 9 Months

Day to Day:

  • Infrastructure design, installation and commissioning in a project environment

  • Produce client standard test, implementation and backout plans

  • Produce client standard Technical Infrastructure Plans (TIP)

  • Production of client standard Network diagrams using MS Visio

  • Production of HPE QMS standard documents

  • Liaison with multiple third party vendors when installing new systems or implementing changes

  • Third line support during operational incidents

Skills:

  • Design and implement Process Control Network related infrastructure in accordance with various client standards

  • Good hands-on technical experience in Juniper Firewalls (SSG140 - Netscreen), ie HA mode, routing protocols, VPNs etc

  • Awareness of Cisco LAN/WAN Network Infrastructure supporting the associated PCN Firewall designs

  • A sound knowledge and understanding of Process Control Networks (PCN) and cyber vulnerabilities and attacks

  • Ensure various vendors infrastructure designs, remote access and 3rd party connectivity requirements comply with Client Digital Security standards and procedures.

  • Liaise with the Client Digital Security team on behalf of the project to gain approval and sign off of PCN system designs including remote access/3rd party connectivity

  • Experience of Firewall fault management and diagnosis

  • Provide guidance to Client Technical Authorities/SPAs/3rd Parties on the various aspects of cyber security their vulnerabilities, anti-virus protection and OS patching ensuring compliance with Client Standards

  • Assist with risk assessments and provide guidance on processes and Health Checks to be completed

  • Lead technical discussions with customer architects, managers, suppliers and other teams

  • Work directly to customer employed and HPE project managers using client's and HPE Project Management processes

  • Be self-motivated with the ability to work either independently or as a member of a highly organised team depending on project assignment

  • Work within a process-driven ITIL compliant environment with a full understanding of client & HPE Change & Release Management systems, client Configuration Management Database, client & HPE Incident & Problem Management process etc

  • Possess excellent written communication skills

  • Possess excellent customer facing skills

  • Possess BOSIET Offshore Survival, Offshore Medical, MIST

  • Previous experience working in the Oil & Gas industry preferable with offshore experience
