Role Overview
Working within the information technology team, under the general direction of the IT Project Managers or his/her designee, the Salesforce Developer will need be able to perform basic administrative tasks whilst also having the capability to configure Salesforce and work with other system integrations and API's.
The role will be to assist in the delivery of Salesforce based projects which span across the entire business.
Principal Accountabilities
Work with the Project Manager and Project Team to understand the CRM needs. Ensure that business rules/requirements and data are applied consistently across interpret business requirement documents and create technical specifications to aid the development and configuration of customised solutions within the Salesforce Platform. Maintain an up to date knowledge of best practices, new features and functionality within the Salesforce platform. Recommend any appropriate use to enhance our services. Adhere to operational policies, procedures and compliance guidelines. Carry out other such duties as may reasonably be required, commensurate with the grade of the post.Role Specification and Competencies
Essential
Educated to degree level (or equivalent through professional qualifications and experience) Lightning development skills and Salesforce Platform Developer 1 Certification or Salesforce Certified Administrator. At least 2 years' experience of working with Salesforce in a development and administrative role. Strong understanding of Salesforce capabilities and limitations. Previous system integrations experience using REST and 3rd party APIs including Apex (web services, batch processing, triggers and classes). Advanced administration tools like process builder, flow and custom settings. Understanding of Agile development.Desirable
Awareness of development practices such as testing, continuous integration and change management within Salesforce. Knowledge of Service Cloud and Sales Cloud, exposure to Marketing Cloud, Community Cloud, DMP or other relevant Salesforce products is highly desirable. Experience of the Atlassian suite including JIRA and Confluence. User Interface (UI) Development expertise is highly desirable. Experience using Salesforce data tools eg Data Loader. Experience of version control systems.
