Senior Marketing Manager - Social Media & SEO

Please note that the successful applicant will have to operate via an Umbrella Company or as a PAYE contractor

As one of Vodafone strategic partners we are currently looking to hire a Senior Marketing Manager - Social & SEO to join the team based in Paddington on a maternity cover. The role is part of our Group Digital Marketing team and drives the Global Social Marketing agenda for Vodafone Group. He/she is responsible for supporting the local markets by providing them with strategic guidance on social marketing capabilities, sharing & enabling global best practices from within & outside the organisation, providing analytics & engagement tools and by creating a data-driven ecosystem by enabling the building & successful execution of a Social Media Command Center. The successful candidate is also responsible for educating, enabling and standardising Search Engine Optimisation practices in the local markets. The candidate will require to execute an annual marketing plan for both Social Marketing & SEO and help local markets deliver regular ROI.

Core competencies, knowledge and experience

  • Proven record of Digital Marketing background and solid experience in Social Marketing and SEO
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Ability to articulate the value of Social & SEO to senior people or to an audience that hasn't worked in Social or SEO before
  • Ability to foster, engage & lead multiple global communities composed of various country representatives (the Social & SEO teams of various countries rolling up into the Global team)
  • Has implemented a successful Social Media Command Center model in the past experience with exposure to the various Social Media tools
  • Has led or worked with the SEO team to drive best in class practices and ROI from this organic channel
  • Good general understanding of Digital Marketing tools (PEGA, Adobe, SEO Monitor, Google Analytics & Social Listening) and awareness of how to leverage them
  • Superior influencing and stakeholder management skills and ability to get buy in from C-Level audience
  • Ability to foster and manager digital communities, which operate in different cultures, time zones and reporting lines
  • Ability to manage a team with various levels of experiences & engagement models
  • Min 13 - 15 years of strong commercial/marketing/digital experience
