Description
Currently seeking an SC Cleared Wintel and SCCM focused SOE Engineer, to assist my client on a 6 month project, based remotely initially, but with scope to be based on site in Chorley in the future; due to commence ASAP.
Due to the nature of this role and the time scale and requirements issued by the client, candidates have been asked to hold current and active SC Clearance for this position.

This SOE engineer will be joining the dynamic UK One Deliver in Chorley being an SCCM expert within the project delivery element.
Key Responsibilities:
- Will work across Build, Packaging, and Deployment
- Will lead on complex projects, as will be seen as the highly experienced subject matter expert
- Implement/administer systems and hardware that are consistently stable, reliable and to requirements.
- Resolve defects before handing over to Operations.
- Bring knowledge of different packaging tools/installer engines
- Work to high pressure deadlines & budgets
- Working closely with Project Management & Technical Capability & Technical Architects across Agile/DevOps/Scrum project delivery
Skills/Experience:
- 10 years experienced working in Wintel environment with a least 5 years in a Project Role
- Must have analytical skills and be able to solve technical problems across different platforms.
- Exposure to Unix and Linux
- Project/Implementation experience to tight timescales
- Experience of IT security, Patching, WSUS
- Experience in remote deployment technologies (SCCM,)
- Experience of supporting a large VMWare estate
- Experience of Group Policy/Preferences and Active Directory
- Experience supporting and implementing a large Wintel estate (Server & Desktop)
- Exposure of supporting, deployment of storage technologies - NetBackup, HDS, EMC
- Exposure to Scripting through Automation
