Description

The Legal Department of a Global investment bank is seeking a highly motivated consultant to support the Capital Markets LIBOR Transition Program.

  • Roles and Responsibilities:
    Provide project management assistance documentation review preparation analysis and remediation and provide other legal support to Wealth Management&&rsquos LIBOR Transition Program.
    Responsibilities include among other things: review and analysis of existing executed documentation preparation and in some cases negotiation of remediation documentation preparation of internal documentation for internal and regulatory reporting requirements and coordination with domestic and international Wealth Management lawyers and lawyers and project team members from other lines of business.
  • Ensure open action items and deliverables are clearly communicated to understood by and executed upon by responsible parties.

QUALIFICATIONS:
* Law degree.
* Experience with Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook and Westlaw.
* Minimum 6+ years of relevant law firm financial institution or other comparable experience with lending transactions and large deal experience that lends itself to the development of strong project management skills.
* Experience in drafting of contracts legal research contract documentation review and analysis and providing summary presentations and abstracts.
* High level of organizational skills and ability to manage a wide variety of responsibilities.
* Ability to work independently and under compressed deadlines

  • Strong understanding of Financial services/Capital Markets
  • Understanding of how a Lawyer supports a Regulatory function
  • Understanding of regulations in banking (MIFID, FATCA, SMR, IBOR, LIBOR)
