Principal Engineer
Work from Home with occasional travel to Edinburgh and Glasgow
3 Month Initial Contract
£280/day inside IR35
Our Public Sector client is offering an exciting opportunity for a Principal Engineer to join a 3 month initial contract.
Responsibilities
- Application Development on Azure
- Platform Automation and DevOps on Azure
- Technical leadership in architecture, development and deployment of Azure based solutions
- Develop IP, best practices and knowledge assets to be re-usable and shared across community
- Embed DevOps practices and automation into delivery
- Actively contribute to a culture of high performance, innovation and continuous improvement.
Education and Experience
- Hands on experience in developing and deploying enterprise solutions, with Microsoft technology stack preferred
- Hands on experience in designing and deploying solutions on Microsoft Azure platform
- Experience with public cloud platforms, including design and implementation
- Appropriate certifications in Azure and associated technologies (desirable)
General Requirements
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure services, including understanding their capabilities and limitations and being able to architect and deliver solutions leveraging various Azure platform services
- Experience in implementing applications using cloud platforms
- Experienced in working in agile/devops environment with continuous integration and continuous deployment and application life cycle management
- Experience working with the following toolsets (or similar)
- Jenkins
- Gitlab
- Terraform
- Windows Server
