The key responsibilities of the role include:
- Working closely with the Head of Corporate Tax, the finance team and external auditors, preparation of working papers to support the tax figures and tax notes for inclusion in the local Financial Statements across the EMEA region, including the preparation of draft corporate tax returns, reconciliations, audit trails and proof of tax calculations
- Liaison with external advisors that assist with the local preparation and submission of Corporate Tax returns
- Calculation of periodic corporate tax payments; reconciliation of payments to tax authority assessments/records
- Reconciliation of monthly corporate tax provisions in general/nominal ledger
- Preparation of accounting journals relating to corporate tax provisions
- Preparation of information required by Head Office tax team to support the preparation of US tax return/provisions
The successful candidate will benefit from having:
- A relevant tax qualification
- Solid corporate tax accounting and compliance skills and experience
- Strong IT skills, notably Excel and OneSource
- Ability to organise, manage and prioritise work in order to deliver to tight deadlines.
- Ability to work as part of a team but also to work independently and be self-motivated
