AWS Devops/Janrian config manager
My client is a prominent and highly regarded global solutions consultancy, they urgently seek the following resource in Warsaw to support their ongoing expansion.
This is a contract role with an immediate start:
- Need 7+ years of professional experience comprising of AWS (Amazon Web Services), and DevOps. As a DevOps/Cloud Engg, Need 4+ years of experience in automation, configuration Management and cloud services.
- Hands on Experience in DevOps tools like Chef, Git, Jenkins, UCD, Ansible, Docker, Kubernets.
- Have good knowledge on Terraform, Packer.
- Configure Continuous Integration (CI) tools Jenkins, managed Jenkins Plugins, created slave nodes, created build and deployment jobs. Automating the application deployment in Dev, QA, and Production environments.
- Experience in ZABBIX, Rackspace,spluck, Chef, writing cookbooks, recipes. setup/updating environment and roles.
- Host and maintain GIT, Jenkins, UCD and Chef, and Debugging issues if there is any failure in broken Jenkins/UCD build and maintaining.
- Strong knowledge on Ansible deployment and playbooks for CI & CD
- Automating routine activities of build preparation and release. Used Shell script, Jenkins, Ansible for building current micro-services-oriented modules.
- Create images for Docker and build/uploaded using Jenkins.
- Building/Maintaining Docker container clusters managed by Kubernetes and Worked with docker swarm, docker compose for maintaining docker container cluster
- Experience in setting up the build and deployment automation f Terraform.
- Have Knowledge on Packer for creating images.
- Experience in using source code management tool GIT.
- Good knowledge on source controller concepts like Branches, Merges and Tags.
- Experience in setting up and maintaining monitoring tool like Newrelic, Nagios, PagerDuty, Slack
- Good knowledge on Elastic search databases and resolved many Real Time issues, writing
- Elastic search queries and creating Kibana dashboards on Elastic search data.
- Experienced with deployments, Maintenance and troubleshooting applications on IBM Cloud infrastructure. Worked on IBM compute, VM creation Patching, Backup.
- End to end administration of Linux boxes. This includes post O.S installation tasks like users and groups access management.
- Strong knowledge on Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud services like EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, and IAM.
- Deployment support and configuration of cloud services including AWS.
- Creating amazon EC2 instances and maintaining with security groups. Architecting of Elastic Load Balancers with EC2 Auto Scaling groups. Maintaining volumes and mapping with multi AZ VPC instances.
- Backup Setup Like Snapshots and Amazon machine images (AMIs) of the instances.
- Design end to end automation of infrastructure and continuous delivery of the applications by integrating cloud formation scripts, Jenkins, AWS & CHEF cookbooks and recipes.
- Monitor system performance statistics like storage, CPU utilization and network bandwidth utilization.
- Define AWS security groups which acted as virtual Firewalls to control the incoming traffic onto AWS EC2 instances.
- Experience in Real Time monitoring and alerting of applications deployed in AWS using Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail and Simple Notification Service.
- Utilize Cloud Watch to monitor resources such as EC2, CPU memory, Amazon RDS services, EBS volumes, to set alarms for notification or automated actions and to monitor logs for a better understanding and operation of the system.
- Familiar in automating environment builds, administration and deployment operations using standard Scripting utilities like Shell Scripting.
- Expert in Installation, Configuration and Administration of Windows, Ubuntu Linux, Cent OS and RedHat Environments.
- Write Shell Scripts to monitor installed enterprise applications and to get Managed the configurations of multiple Servers using Chef. Created multiple recipes and customized facts for efficient management of the Chef clients
