PIA Surveyor
Location: Field Based (Cambridge Office)
Up to £200/£220 per day (Negotiable)
Duration: Rolling Contract
We are looking for surveyors/planners with an in-depth knowledge of the Physical Infrastructure Access Network (PIA). You will be surveying PIA routes to ensure capacity for new multicore fibre installations. You will need BT Accreditations, a Gas Detection Unit, and way to photograph surveys and write reports. There is over 35KM of routes to survey, confirm, redirect routes and write up recommendation reports on the suitability of routes.
You will need a demonstrable background surveying on the Openreach/PIA/Physical Infrastructure Access Network.
*Surveying/Photographing and documenting PIA Openreach/existing Fibre Optic Network infrastructure for ducts, upgrades, etc
*Writing up reports including photographic evidence to back-up recommendations on routes
*Liaising with the planning department to assist in the production of high quality job packs
*Planning civils works for FTTP where required (knowledge of techniques including narrow trenching and blown fibre)
*A good understanding of Streetworks/NRSWA
