My client a leading consultancy is currently looking for a SMC Technical Lead with current Security Clearance: NATO Secret to work in Mons in Belgium.

You must have current Security Clearance: NATO Secret and you must be able to start a contract on the 1st of May 2020

SMC Technical Lead

- In coordination with Project Manager(s) SMC Technical Lead will perform duties such as following:

- Work with relevant parties to ensure Service Management and Control processes are designed effectively including facilitating application and system security accreditation.

- Develop technical strategies for SMC applications including integration strategies and translate them into solution architectures and guidelines, often for contracted solution.

- Ensure technical & architectural coherence across multiple development streams potentially executed by different contractors.

- Work with Enterprise designs, Service Owners, Service Managers and PMs to ensure architectural coherence spanning life cycle, including managing the interface with software integration role when this is contracted out.

- Identify and manage technical and functional dependencies and manage architectural and technology risks.

Requirements

  • Required Security Clearance: NATO Secret
  • University degree in Engineering or related discipline;
  • Experience in Service Management Processes;
  • Experience in BMC ITSM administration;
  • Experience in BMC ITSM training delivery;
  • Experience in BMC ITSM 1st, 2nd and 3rd level support
  • Knowledge of IT Service Management;
  • Knowledge in recognised formal Project Management qualification, such as Prince2 or PMP;
  • Experience in following Microsoft tools: MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, MS Outlook, MS Word;
  • Extensive knowledge of concepts of central management with distribution execution;
  • In-depth knowledge of NATO responsibilities, structure and organization, including ACO and ACT;
  • Fluency in English (listening, speaking, reading and writing); the work, both oral and written, is conducted in English.
  • Experience in planning, design, integration, implementation of Enterprise Service Management Systems;
  • Strong experience in Systems Engineering;
  • Experience of technical coordination of project delivery activities within IT Service Management and Control space
  • Knowledge of ITIL v3 processes and best practice
  • Strong awareness of business priorities and objectives and how to manage and prioritise technical activities to support business
  • Strong technical understanding and experience working with various IT Service Management related tools and technology, including but not limited to BMC Remedy ITSM Suite v9.1 and above, BMC Atrium Discovery and Dependency Mapping (ADDM), BMC TrueSight Operations Management, BMC Orchestrator, etc.
  • Strong technical understanding and knowledge of all aspects of modern CIS infrastructure, including cloud-based solutions used by large and globally disperse organisations
  • Strong understanding and experience working with complex systems and architecture frameworks
  • TOGAF Certification required (9.1 version minimum)
  • Experience developing architecture and detailed designs for IT Service Management enterprise
  • Experience leading technical implementation of enterprise SMC solutions
  • Understanding of infrastructure solutions hosting Service Management tools and technology, including understanding of market leading database solutions (including but not limited to MS SQL and Oracle)
  • Knowledge of NATO's missions and exercises, as well as peacetime architecture and operations for minimum of 8 years
  • Technical Leadership experience;
  • Working as part of the technical team;
  • Being able to facilitate meetings with various stakeholders;
  • Provide Project Management support to the Service Line;
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
