Description
A Mechanical Design Engineer is required to work on the redevelopment of a consumer wearable device that is to meet the standards of a Medical Device (ISO 13485).
This will be a high-volume manufactured product which encloses electronics. As such you should have experience designing small scale products which encloses electronics/PCBs. Experience working alongside Electronic Engineers would be desirable, as designs must take into consideration the performance of wireless communications (eg Bluetooth connectivity).
Experience with plastic injection mouldings and material selection choice is also needed for this requirement, as the product must remain in good and working condition in a variety of scenarios.
The contract is initially 6 months, but it is likely to be extended further.
LOCATION OF WORK: This contract is remote from home, with the occasional visit to client site in Milton Keynes.
