Description

Human Factors Engineer required within the UX Team to deliver an optimal user experience to our product's users using your extensive knowledge of Human Factors Engineering and User Experience (UX).

Please note: Urgent role - Skype/Telephone Interview - Laptop set up working from home in the interim (due to current COVID-19 situation)

Typical activities will include:

  • Provide Human Factors Engineering services to deliver the Evo programme.
  • Developing and maintaining HF integration plans
  • Support the planning, monitoring and control functions to ensure timely delivery of HF services and work products
  • Support managing the HF risk and opportunities
  • Manages development, apportionment and dissemination of Human Factors requirements
  • Reviews HF elements of all system and subsystem documentation
  • Support the planning and running of HF design reviews
  • Plans and executes HF assessments (ergonomic analysis, HCI and Usability assessments)
  • Generating verification documentation
  • Support planning and management of the product Users that are participating in the Human Centred Design Process
  • Collating the body of evidence to justify the acceptability of the design from a Human Factors perspective
  • Managing all the traditional Human Factors processes and techniques and adapting them to work in an AGILE manner in line with the rest of the Engineering Programme in both Systems and product Engineering

The successful candidate will have the below skills/experience:

  • Familiarity and experience with Human Factors techniques and tools (Task Analysis, Mental Workload Assessment, Human Reliability Analysis).
  • Familiarity of working in an AGILE manner.
  • Demonstrable understanding of the Systems Engineering life cycle and the integration of HF activities within that life cycle.
  • Proven requirements development expertise and experience using DOORS.

Candidates must be willing to undergo the security vetting procedure.
