Harvey Nash are now inviting candidates to apply for the role of Finance Manager for a temporary assignment with a public sector organisation in the Scottish Borders for initially three months, please note this role has been deemed as inside of IR35 and candidates will be required to have Basic Disclosure Scotland certificate
Key responsibilities
- Monitoring all income and expenditure, ensuring proper governance is maintained throughout the organisation
- Providing high-quality, decision ready information for financial management and senior stakeholders
- Influence and advise on financial planning for the organisation
- Develop the finance offering and ensure our clients finance system and processes are fit for purpose through continuous improvement initiatives
- Liaise with colleagues on long term planning in relation to strategic aspects of operational finances with in-year or ad-hoc budget reforecasts as required
Essential experience required
- Qualified CIMA/ACCA (or equivalent) or qualified by experience
- Experienced in preparing high quality financial information to statutory accounts level
- Ability to anticipate stakeholder requirements
- Capable of identifying issues and bringing these to the attention of appropriate levels of staff
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Desirable
- Knowledge of Agresso Business World
- Previous public sector experience
