Advantage Resourcing are working with a large global defence organisation and seeking a Senior Product Safety Engineer who holds Product Safety experience of delivery on MOD projects.
Experience:
Typically 5 years' experience in delivering Product Safety in naval projects for the MoD or a defence or related industry.
Good working experiences in more than one phase of the Life Cycle Management (LCM) framework, with sufficient experience of the total LCM to enable a good understanding of adjacent phases and through life engineering issues.
Responsibilities/Duties:
Exercise duties in accordance with statutory requirements and the Safety and Environmental Management System.
Mitigate risks and improve overall safety performance
Demonstrate strong leadership for safety and environmental protection, setting consistent and high standards across all areas
Immediately raise any concerns regarding the safety of a product, or the application of policies and processes.
To develop and ensure product safety requirements are incorporated from an early design phase, and maintained throughout
Qualifications Required:
Hold appropriate engineering qualification and/or experience in engineering safety management
Hold current Security Clearance or have the ability to achieve security clearance is essential.
NEBOSH National Examination Board Occupational Safety and Health (not essential)
Thorough knowledge of customer (Ship/System Safety) standards such as:-
JSP430
